Manages the care of newborns and women during the reproductive cycle, develops and implements health care plans for patients, and counsels and conducts teaching classes for patients. Plans and directs in-service programs for staff. Requirements: Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field; Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills of the principles and techniques of nursing and nurse midwifery, knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the human reproductive system; knowledge of medications and prescriptions related to reproduction; 5-7 years experience; Maryland Registered Nurse License; American Heart Association CPR Certification; CNM in MD; Medical terminology; Critical thinking skills; Demonstrates the ability to follow verbal instructions; Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
