The pediatric home care nurse provides, coordinates, teaches and/or supervises care for a group of patients usually in the setting of the patient's home. They employ the approporiate disciplin specific process to develop and implement plans of care for patients requiring in-home health and support services, under physician orders.

This is a full-time, temporary position. Hours include Mon-Fri from 8:30 - 5pm. Assignment location to include DC Metro Area (Prince George's, Montgomery County, and DC)

Requirements:

Administration of hight tech infusions

Frequent care and use of Central Venous Access devices

Evaluation and assessment of patients

Referral and coordination of services in the agency and the community

Fostering a clinical environment of service excellence.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of direct pediatric nursing experience in an acute care setting preferrably with ICU or ER background

Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing preferred

Must have current specialty certification in one of the following:

  • Current registered nurse license in the state of Maryland, or licensed in a compact state

  • Current registered nurse license in the District of Columbia

  • Current CPR certification.
