Pharmacy Health Outcomes Analyst:

ThePharmacy Health Outcomes Analystis responsible for analyzing, reporting and developing recommendations on data related to multiple, varied business metrics. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Creates databases to track business performance.

  • Provide analytical support and strategies for Pharmacy Medication Therapy Management program, makes necessary recommendations, and develop ad hoc reports as needed.

  • Familiarity with the operational procedure of a Medication Therapy Management Program.

  • Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data); provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.

  • Collects and analyzes data to create summary statistics of performance. Creates and publishes periodic reports as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.

  • Leverage advanced statistical analysis methods to create insightful recommendations and conclusions.

  • Understand clinical quality improvement concepts/measures and apply them in program evaluation.

  • Clearly and concisely present analytical pharmacy program both orally and in written format.

  • Prepare presentation and written reports that synthesize and summarize data for pharmacy program performance.

  • Produce comparative reports that detail performance relative to other markets.

  • Coordinate with different departments to obtain business requirements Pharmacy Medication Therapy Management program measurements.

  • Taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.

  • Develop automated procedures for monthly reporting using Microsoft Excel and Access.

  • Ability to create queries to conduct reporting in SQL/SAS.

    Analyst Level I Requirements:

  • Requires a High School Diploma; BS/BA degree in related field preferred; at least 2 years of related operational and/or data analysis experience; experience in database structures, and standard query and reporting tools; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Proficiency with SQL, SAS and Excel, important.

  • Recent experience presenting, reporting, and evaluating pharmacy or medical programs preferred.

    • Analyst Level II Requirements: *
  • Requires a BS/BA degree in related field; BS/BA degree in related field preferred; 2-4 years of related operational and/or data analysis experience; experience in database structures, and standard query and reporting tools; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Preference: Degree in health outcomes, health economics, health services research, pharmacy administration, public health, epidemiology, statistics or related discipline.

  • Proficiency with SQL, SAS and Excel, important.

  • Recent experience presenting, reporting, and evaluating pharmacy or medical programs preferred.

    • Analyst Senior Level Requirements: *
  • Requires a BS/BA degree in related field; BS/BA degree in related field preferred; 3-5 years of related operational and/or data analysis experience; experience in database structures, and standard query and reporting tools; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Preference: Degree in health outcomes, health economics, health services research, pharmacy administration, public health, epidemiology, statistics or related discipline.

  • Proficiency with SQL, SAS and Excel, important.

  • Recent experience presenting, reporting, and evaluating pharmacy or medical programs preferred.
