Responsible for providing professional nursing care in a progressive pediatric setting. NEW unit with state-of-the art facilities. Must be willing to work on both sides of the unit: inpatient and pediatric ED (shared staff).
Care for urgent medical conditions in the pediatric emergency department and for patients admitted to inpatient pediatrics.

Possible exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials with little likelihood of harm if established health precautions are followed; Works in area that may require contact with aggressive and/or combative patients
Ideal practice setting for an experienced PEDs RN. The best of all worlds: an inpatient pediatric unit and a PEDs emergent care unit within an intimate, easily-navigated space. Minimum of 1 years previous pediatric experience or 2-3 years of adult ED, or ICU or Med/surg experience required; experience working in a pediatric emergency department or urgent care center is ideal.
