Specialty Hospital Resource Nurse Nightshift

The office of nurse recruitment is recruiting for two full-time nightshift resource nurse positions for the Specialty Hospital Programs.

The primary responsibility of the Specialty Hospital Resource Nurse is providing clinical support to the nursing team on the nightshift in the Burton Building.

The areas of assignment are the units within the Burton Building; Burton 01 Rehab, Burton 1 Ventilator/Rehab Unit, Burton 2 Medical Behavioral Unit, and Burton 3 Carol Ball Medicine Unit.


¨ Minimum of two years’ experience in the Specialty Hospital Programs units or Medical Surgical Units.

¨ Charge Nurse experience preferred

¨ Satisfactory performance and attendance

¨ Current BLS, and ACLS or willing to obtain within 1 year.

¨ Ability to manage patient care emergencies effectively.

¨ Strong organizational skills.

¨ Effective written and verbal communication skills

¨ Excellent problem solving ability, and critical thinking skills.

Associates degree in nursing required, BSN preferred or enrolled within 6 months and completed within 4 years

Two years of recent Med/Surg experiince

RN license

CPR Required,AHA Healthcare Provider

Possible exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials with little likelihood of harm if established health precautions are followed; Works in area that may require contact with aggressive and/or combative patients
